This is the SECOND of the No Kings: Vote Early events Indivisible Mid Maine is hosting on October 17 (a general description of our participation that day can be found at https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1020677/). You do not need to be a Waterville OR a Winslow resident or voter to join us for this event!
For this event, interested folks should plan to meet at Head of Falls Park at noon, where there is plenty of parking! Starting at 12:15 we will march across the Two Cent Bridge and over to the Winslow Town Office at 114 Benton Avenue.
There, Winslow voters who choose to do so can deposit their completed absentee ballots at the secure absentee ballot box in front of the town office and be celebrated by our cheerful greeters, who will welcome you with bells and whistles. With your permission they will also take your picture as you deposit your ballot, and pictures will then be put in a digital “I voted early!” frame and circulated on social media. We can send you copies if we have contact info.
Some signs will be available for marchers with upbeat messages expressing the value and pleasure of voting early, but please feel free to bring your own!
We will depart the Winslow town office by 12:45, either to return to Head of Falls or go home. Please note: Event #3 for the day–the Grand We Vote Early March from Waterville to Fairfield–will begin at Head of Falls at 1:15. You are welcome to join us for that event, or drive past as we march offering honks of support, but there is no requirement to do so!

We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
