**Democracy and our right to vote do not defend themselves. So, WE MUST!**
Join [Indivisible Alameda](https://indivisible-alameda.org/)’s No Kings, as part of a necessary national surge to defend democracy, our right to vote, and the unabated swearing in of our duly elected representatives. Your participation will give courage to others to fight for our democracy and will show the administration and the people of this country (and the world) that we are standing strong.
**On October 17th, we say, “No more Faux-King BS!”**
No Kings (IV) is a clarion call, the last stress-test of our community muscle pushing against tyranny. No Kings was never about only holding signs, marching and rallying, then going home. This endeavor has been you, me and all pro-democracy groups actively prepping for the worst case scenario; this administration’s all out assault on the voice of the people and our power to vote for our leaders.
Showing up and speaking out on Saturday, October 17th is only a part of what is needed. We are going to ask more of you than ever before, because it’s absolutely necessary. We are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
