Millions of people have joined No Kings events to reject unaccountable power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing Eagle County residents together to celebrate our rights, vote early and ensure every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Voting is our superpower. The idea that voting is a superpower emphasizes that every eligible citizen has the ability to shape their community, state, and nation through the act of casting a ballot. Unlike fictional superpowers, this “power” is real and accessible to all, allowing people to defend democracy, advocate for justice, and hold leaders accountable. It highlights the principle that collective participation in elections can produce meaningful societal change.
Don your superhero or patriotic attire, grab your flag, your friends and family and most importantly, your ballot, and come celebrate our right to vote! You will have a chance to hear about the ballot initiatives, write postcards to encourage folks to vote during these midterms, sign up for election protection teams and more. At the conclusion of the event, we will march in masse, with our ballots, to the ballot dropbox at nearby Eagle County Commons. (NOTE: In Colorado, you can drop your ballot in ANY dropbox in the state, so CO voters from out of town can participate.)
Many forces are working to undermine trust in our elections, weaken voting rights, and make it harder for people to have their voices heard. Voting early gives us the power to make our voices heard on our own terms, before Election Day, before the last-minute chaos, and before anyone else can decide what happens next.

We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
